New digital network for The City

A fantastic opportunity is launching tomorrow as one of the only out-of-home advertising opportunities within the square mile.

Renew have installed a network of digital screens throughout the square mile targeting City professionals. 200 screens are being deployed in strategic positions throughout the City, with an average of 15,500 people passing each screen each day.

CBS can now offer touchscreen technology on their LCD inventory across Westfield London & Stratford City shopping malls.

Westfield offers a great environment for touch screen opportunities – visitors are already familiar with the concept (due to the touch screen way finder). The average dwell time in Westfield is 2 hours 21 minutes.

Mediaco launch screen in Manchester

This year will see significant development of large roadside and city centre digital screens outside of London.

Manchester’s Mancunian Way has had a roadside upgrade with the recent switching-on of a 3m x 12m screen named the Manchester Digital Bridge and erected over the top of the motorway at the Chester Road Underpass. The opportunity is sold by Mediaco and featured Jimmy Choo and BT on the screen as one of the first advertisers.

Captive Media launch interactive washroom screens

The Exhibit bar in Balham has unveiled the world’s first urinals to feature hands-free video games controlled exclusively by visitors’ streams.

Captive Media will roll-out the product across selected bars from early 2012.

Hyundai announces the draw for UEFA EURO 2012 at Piccadilly Circus

Hyundai, sponsors of UEFA EURO 2012, have announced the draw for the group stages of the tournament on their digital screen at Piccadilly Circus.

The results were displayed within 10 minutes of the draw being made on the 2^nd December 2011 and were immediately seen by thousands of people in London’s West End.

As an official partner, Hyundai is keen to build on their association with the tournament in the lead up to the event which kicks off on 8^th June 2012.

Ocean launches The Two Towers East with BMW

Ocean has launched The Two Towers East after winning a competitive tender from Tower Hamlets Council.

The iconic advertising structures, which are located in the shadow of Canary Wharf, are designed to target high net worth employees working in London’s financial district. BMW has secured The Two Towers as the launch commercial advertiser.

The £1 million digital advertising structures pay homage to the Two Towers West which are located on the premium route from Heathrow Airport to London’s West End.

The Two Towers East command an equally prestigious position at the gateway of Canary Wharf, The City of London and London’s exclusive City Airport.

Clear Channel goes digital on the high street

The London Digital 6 Sheet (LD6) is a new digital network from Clear Channel enabling advertisers to creatively engage with commuter, shopper and entertainment audiences on the move.

From 28 November, 72″ HD digital screens will be located at 100 bus shelters in busy, premium locations across London.

CBS add One New Change to their mall portfolio

CBS Outdoor UK has secured a five-year contract to market and sell digital advertising at One New Change retail centre in the City of London.

The site has a footfall of 12 million annually and will deliver a valuable, high end shopping audience that is young and upscale – 90 per cent are ABC1. The contract follows CBSO’s recent appointment at Westfield Stratford City, which opened in September. One New Change opened last October and has already become a leading London shopping destination with 60 stores including H&M, Hugo Boss, Topshop and Links of London.

There are 10 screens already installed and a further four on the way.

Nokia launch new handset using digital screens in malls

For the launch of Nokia’s new Lumia handset, Nokia dominated the UK’s shopping centres using a mixture of OOH formats which included portrait mall screens, wrapped AD:HD screens in retail windows, giant ceiling banners banners and floor media.

Outdoor Plus to launch roadside screen on A40

On the 12th December, Outdoor Plus are set to launch a new roadside digital screen measuring 6m x 9m. Situated in-between the Hanger Lane Gyratory & Gypsy Corner on A40 Western Avenue each elevation targets in and outbound traffic from West London to Central London. The two inbound and outbound panels target a broad spectrum of commuters and business travellers, including a secondary audience from Heathrow Airport.
